Lyrics

Her Name Was Linda

I guess we didn't, see it coming
never thought, it was so numbing
out of the blue, it changed our faith
going take vigor, to beat its wraith

you really tried, to beat its power
hopeless seconds, turn to hours
all those scary cures and pills
they tore you up, and stole your will

Her Name Was Linda, she was my wife
a fast-track illness, took her life
she tried in vain, to stay alive
all that trying, and she couldn't survive

she always had, a smile for me
tremendous pain, I couldn't see
distant stares from so much pain
is starting to drive, her insane

Her Name Was Linda, she was my wife
a fast-track illness, took her life
she tried in vain, to stay alive
all that trying, and she couldn't survive

didn't take long, she was heaven bound
a beautiful place, with symphony sound
she deserved it, she won that prize
a beautiful lady, with angel eyes

Her Name Was Linda, she was my wife
a fast-track illness, took her life
she tried in vain, to stay alive
all that trying, and she couldn't survive

Her Name Was Linda, she was my life
not a better woman could be my wife

Her Name Was Linda, my sweet Linda
oh my Linda, I love you
